Is Freezer Cooking For Me?

by Katie on October 28, 2011

When I began freezer cooking, about 5 years ago, I never imagined how it would change the way I view cooking and dinner time! It started with something that I love doing for myself, and now it is something that I love teaching to others!

Over the past few years I have been teaching my Grocery Savings Strategies Class to those who are looking to save money on their grocery bill.  During the class, I teach six strategies that enable me to stick to a $40 grocery budget, freezer cooking being one of them!

Freezer cooking always dominates the question and answer time! After seeing that trend, I decided to teach a  class dedicated solely to freezer cooking.   I got a lot of comments and emails, from all of you who aren’t in Cincinnati, asking me to share the class information on the blog!

So…my Friday posts are going to be dedicated to Freezer Cooking!  We are starting today and it will continue until we finish up!

Today I’m going to leave you with two questions I always ask people when they inquire about freezer cooking.

Is Freezer Cooking for me?

If you are wondering if freezer cooking is for you, ask yourself these two questions:

1. Does your schedule ever get so busy that you feel like you don’t have time to cook dinner?

OR

2. Do you hate to cook dinner for just yourself (or just you two or three) because it is just too much food?

If you answered yes…

Freezer cooking is something that can revolutionize the way you view dinner time. It enables you to serve your family a hot home cooked meal on those days when you just don’t have time to cook!

It is something that appeals to the masses!  It helps the single person and the family of 10!  Anyone can benefit from freezer cooking, and anyone can mold it to fit their needs!

Freezer Cooking really has helped my family in so many ways. I really enjoy being able to take advantage of meat sales and stocking my freezer with meals and not just the raw meat packages. :) It really has made a huge difference not only in what is on the dinner table but it has helped me to stay on budget and ENJOY cooking. I am looking forward to these Friday posts…

Misty, thanks so much for sharing that! I enjoy cooking, but I’m with you…freezer cooking helps that because I can cook when I want and when I don’t want…I don’t have to :)
