I love making my home festive for holidays! That said, it’s also important for me to stick to my budget…especially considering these decorations are only out for a month!
This year, while out browsing for Christmas decorations I came across some adorable little mini wreaths for dining room chairs. I couldn’t bear to pay the price they were asking, so immediately the wheels in my brain started turning. I knew there had to be a way to recreate the look on the CHEAP!
Here is what I came up with…
I created these wreaths with greenery from the Dollar Tree! Seriously! It’s just cheapo greenery, but these wreaths are small…so to me it’s not a big deal.
Oh, and it only took about 30 minutes to make and assemble them all!!
Here is what you need:
Greenery – each bunch from the Dollar Tree makes 3 wreaths (with a little leftover for another project)
Ribbon – I just used ribbon I had on hand
Wire Cutters
Total Cost for 6 is about $4 (if you have to buy ribbon)
I made a circle out of the greenery in about the size I wanted. It looked a little puny, so I looped it around again. It’s a wire base, so I just used wire cutters to cut where I wanted. (Then I did the same thing for the other 3 so they would be the same size.)
I just wrapped the end of the greenery wire around the wreath to hold it in place. Once they were made I just shaped them up a bit to make sure they were nice and round!
Then I attached it to my chairs. It will depend on how your chairs are made as to how much ribbon you will need and how to attach it. I just found the right length for the first one and then cut the rest the same length.
I am in love with my mini wreaths. I think they are adorable and so unique.
If you have about $3 or 4 bucks and 30 minutes you can make some wreaths of your own to dress up your Christmas table!
