Today I want to show you a few centerpieces ideas! These are centerpieces that I made by using common things that most would already have on hand!
After reading this post, go on a treasure hunt around the house and see what you can put together! I don’t know about you, but I think it is so much more fun to make things myself rather than buying them!
This centerpiece is on my kitchen table this year! This year I did a red and white candy them in my kitchen and breakfast area! I just love it!!
I placed a nice cake pedestal in the center of the table and surrounded it by a wreath I’ve had for years. I topped it with a neat candle holder that I got at a craft show forever ago. Then to finish it off I added some red Christmas ornaments and a few red and white candy picks I got at Hobby Lobby for 50% off.
I bought candy picks and a few containers of red ornaments at the Dollar Tree, and spent a total of $3! If you have a cake stand, candle, and some ornaments you can create a nice centerpiece!
The second one is my super simple dining room centerpiece. Last year I picked up some cheap striped place mats after Christmas. Since they are full of color, I wanted to do a super simple centerpiece.
All I did was fill a bowl with glitter Christmas ornaments that I made and a few mini ornaments! You could use ornaments you have on hand or head to the Dollar Tree and buy a few packages! It can’t get much easier than that!
And you don’t have to use Christmas ornaments. You could fill the bowl with pine cones like I did below! And pine cones are something you can go outside and get for free!!
I used my new sew burlap table runner and went with a more natural themed table!
The last idea is displayed on my fireplace mantle, but it would also make a great centerpiece!
I just used glass hurricanes that I made, for $2 each, and filled them with mini Christmas ornaments! (If you are interested, there is a great tutorial here on how to make them.) I use these glass hurricanes for every season. In the fall I put mini pumpkins and gourds in them. Other times I just add candles to them. I majorly love them!!!
I hope these centerpieces show you a few ways that you can give your home a little Christmas cheer just by using things that you already have!
Do you an idea on how to decorate for Christmas using things that you have on hand?

Now is the time to be on the lookout for deals!!
