{Slow Cooker} Apple & Onion Pulled Pork

Anyone in the market for a new slow cooker recipe? If you are anything like me…you are always game for an easy meal!

All of you crock pot lovers are going to love this Slow Cooker Apple & Onion Pulled Pork.

This recipe came about because pork was on sale, I needed a big meat to slow cook while I was gone all day, and I needed to make something Whole30 approved. We had a lot of apples on hand, so I tossed it all in and what came out was a delicious, flavorful pulled pork! The crock pot was a genius invention, wasn’t it?

We’ve eaten on this pork for the past few days {and I’ve got some stored away in the freezer}. It has great flavor, and the apple flavor comes through, but it is still very versatile for using in different ways. Since we are Whole30ing it, we have been eating it plain or on a salad. BUT, it would be great with BBQ sauce on it served as a sandwich.

{Slow Cooker} Apple & Onion Pulled Pork


  • 5 pound pork loin
  • garlic powder
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 4 apples, cored and sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1/2-1 cup water


  1. Rub the pork loin generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder and place in the crock pot. Top with apples and onions. Add the water to the crock pot - enough to cover the bottom of the crock pot.
  2. Cook on low all day or on high for 6 hours.


Leftovers freeze great!
