Oven Roasted Broccoli

by Katie on July 17, 2013

Today I’ve got a non-recipe kind of recipe for you. It’s more of an awesome new (maybe not new to you) way to cook a very popular vegetable.  Broccoli.

Roasted broccoli to be exact.

It’s by far the best way that I’ve found to cook the healthy green vegetable. But, if you’ve read for any length of time you probably already knew that I’m big on roasting veggies.

I’ve shared Oven Roasted Carrots, Balsamic Roasted Brussels Sprouts, and Roasted Cauliflower.  Oh, and I can’t forget Roasted Sugar Snap Peas and Roasted Parmesan Asparagus.

This broccoli is so good and we enjoy it and in case you are wondering…no, I’m sure it won’t be my last roasted veggie post.

Have you tried roasting your veggies?  If not, you must try it out (I’ve got lots of recipes to choose from)!

Oven Roasted Broccoli

  • Broccoli
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

  1. Preheat oven to 425. Line a cookie sheet with foil for easy clean up.
  2. Toss broccoli florets with a drizzle of olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Pour onto the cookie sheet and spread out so florets aren't touching. Bake for 10-12 minutes - until starting to brown a little.

I’ve tried your roasted carrots and asparagus before and they are so much better than steamed. It’s surprising how just a simple thing like roasting can make something so much better.

I know…it is surprising how much better they are. :)

I am definitely going to have to try these. I rely on the steamed bags a lot, but I need to mix it up some. Also to get Ry to branch out :)

Hi Misty! You need to try it. I find it’s cheaper to buy broccoli fresh and it tastes SO much better.
