Coffee Punch

by Katie on April 1, 2014

Today I’m sharing  one of my favorite party or shower recipes – Coffee Punch!! I shared it as a contributor post for Blissfully Ever After back in the fall, but I figured now would be a great time to feature it here at The Cutting Back Kitchen.

Why?

Well…we are getting into “shower season”! That means it’s time for everyone to dig out their punch bowls!

Are you throwing any showers this spring or summer? How about any kind of get together?  If so this Coffee Punch is the perfect drink to serve!! It’s different than the traditional punch – but in a really good make-your-guests-super-happy kinda way.

(If it’s a baby shower you are throwing you should check out Rubber Ducky Punch, too.)

Coffee Punch - Perfect for Showers and Parties!

Drinking Coffee Punch is like drinking a coffee milkshake. And who doesn’t love a good milkshake?

I first had it at one of my sister’s baby showers last year. I had just finished up the Whole30 and I seriously drank 3 mason jars full. I hope nobody there noticed how much I drank – talk about awkward.  I looked kind of ridiculous, but I just couldn’t stop myself.

I have made it again for a few parties and everyone has loved it – both coffee drinkers and non-coffee drinkers!

Coffee Punch - A great twist on traditional punch and much tastier!

It’s easy and cheap and amazingly, addictingly delicious! You HAVE to try it ASAP!!!!!!

Just look at that close up!!!!  Yum!!!!!

Delicious Coffee Punch - it's like drinking a coffee milkshake!!

Coffee Punch

Ingredients

  • 8 cups coffee, cooled
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 quart vanilla ice cream
  • Toppings if desired: whipped cream, chocolate sauce, or caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Brew coffee and add in the sugar while it is still warm. Refrigerate until cold (I like to refrigerate it overnight). When ready to serve add the coffee, milk, and vanilla to a punch bowl. Stir well. Add scoops of the ice cream on top and give it a stir. Serve in punch cups or small mason jars. Let guests top with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, or caramel sauce, if desired.
