Bring A Little Fall Into Your Kitchen Without Spending A Lot

by Katie on September 26, 2014

Can I just say that I LOVE fall!  There is just something about the pumpkins, mums and beautiful colors of fall!  That whole love thing carries into my home…every room of my home declares the entrance of the best season of the year.

My Aunt Cherie is responsible for this fall decorating craziness because her home is a fall paradise full of beautiful decor starting in mid-August.  Can I just say that I have the best aunts ever!  Not only have they exemplified the love of Jesus through the way they have lived their lives and the way they have loved me, but they have taught me awesome things like…go all out for fall and start decorating by the middle of August so you can enjoy as much fall as you can!?!

(I hope to be a great aunt as well, but considering my little Ezra calls me Wee-Wee….well, I’m not so sure how I’m really doing.  I get a potty name?!?  Really? Crazy kid.)

Fall decorating, or any decorating, doesn’t have to cost a lot of money.   I thought I would showcase a few awesome fall decorating ideas for the kitchen area that are a lot of bang for your buck – in case you don’t have an aunt to model your home after!!

Does your house need a little fall love?   If so, I’ve got you covered!

These Fall Hurricane Vases from Amanda Jane Brown will make your table so festive.  Most of us have some kind of glass hurricane or even a trifle bowl that we could use.  Add in some cheap dried beans and peas and a candle and you are good to go in no time at all!

Mason jars are all the rage right now! There is something so wonderful about drinking my iced tea out of them, but they are also great for decoration. These painted mason jars from Anything and Everything DIY blog would be cute as a centerpiece or great in the window sill of your kitchen.

I love, love, love this idea for a thankful placemat from Whimsical Home and Garden! Not only is it cheap and easy to make, but it’s so unique.

I’ve got my wood cut and big plans for make something similar to this Fall Planter Box from Sophia’s. I love the way it looks on her dining room table and think it would be great to decorate with throughout the year!

I wanted to include my burlap table runner because it is SO easy to make and requires NO sewing! It is great throughout the year, but looks especially great in the fall. Plus, did you know that there are a ton of different burlap colors out there?

Thanks for sharing all the cute decor items…I am LOVING those canning jars!!!

BUT wouldn’t you know….I just gave about 1/2 bazillion to goodwill this spring….RATS……I may have a couple left somewhere….keeping my fingers crossed for that!!!!

You are ONE brave girl….putting it out there what Ezra calls you…you know how it is around here…..wonder what the name tag on your Christmas gift will say???? LOL

What was I thinking? I guess I wasn’t thinking?!? I never should have put that out there where you guys could see it…I will be Wee Wee forever.

I know…fall should be a 6 month thing. I would LOVE that. You will have to find some canning jars…or go back to Goodwill. :)
