Minty Hot Chocolate Mix and Free Printable Chalkboard Gift Labels

The only thing better than Hot Chocolate Mix is Minty Hot Chocolate Mix.

I have a Hot Chocolate Mix and a Peppermint Hot Chocolate Mix on the blog, and both are really popular, but I realized this year that I needed to make and add an Andes Mint version to the hot chocolate recipe collection. I love peppermint, but creme de menthe is where it’s at for my taste buds!

If you like Andes Mints, this one is for you!

I always make a big batch of hot chocolate mix for gift giving. Not only is it delicious, but it’s pretty much the easiest “homemade” gift you can give.

Sure, you can buy hot chocolate packets, but seriously…spend the ten minutes to make this because it’s SO worth it!  Just do it.  Because I said so.

I planned to get these printables done and shared at the very beginning of December, but sometimes things don’t always go as I planned.  On the bright side…the mix only takes ten minutes (or less) to make so you still have time to get it done and ready to go with time to spare!

For the printable gift tags and jar labels all you have to do is print them out and cut them out. To really give them the chalkboard look I took a piece of chalk and rubbed it all over them and then took a dry paper towel and just wiped it off. I made jar labels for regular jar sizes and some for wide mouth jars so you can use whichever you prefer.

Minty Hot Chocolate Mix

Ingredients

  • 10 cups dry milk powder
  • 4 3/4 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 3/4 cup powdered coffee creamer (regular)
  • 1 box instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 bag Andes Mints pieces
  • 1-2 containers of dehydrated marshmallows (if desired)

Instructions

  1. In a very large bowl mix all ingredients except the Andes mints. I like to blend mine with an immersion blender or place in a regular blender to mix it really well, but you can just stir it well if you want. Add in the Andes Mints and place in a jar. I like to leave a little space on top and add the marshmallows. Add the tag and jar topper and your gift is ready to go!
  2. To serve: Mix 1/4 cup into 8 ounces of boiling water and stir.
