5 Ways To Use Purification Essential Oil

by Katie on July 14, 2015

I’m often asked which essential oil is my favorite. That’s a difficult thing to answer. Partially because I have the worst time making decisions, but also because I love so many. Because of this great conundrum my favorite tends to change based on what I’m using a lot of at the moment. One thing that remains is that Purification is always ranking way, way up there on the list!

Earlier this year I went on a rampage ridding our home of candles, air freshening sprays, and plug-ins.  I was a little nervous about it. I loved candles and my enjoyed my house smelling good.  Who wants a stinky house, you know?

What’s amazing is that my home smells so much better now! Don’t believe me? Ask anyone else who uses Purification essential oil. Everyone who uses it loves it. The house is truly fresh now and it truly eliminates odors.  It’s so refreshing and I haven’t missed the candles.

Purification is an essential oil blend that helps freshen the air and eliminate odors with its unique combination of Citronella, Lemongrass, Lavandin, Rosemary, Tea Tree, and Myrtle essential oils.

5 Ways To Use Purification Essential Oil

1. Outdoor Spray
Purification, Peppermint, and Lavender are in my homemade outdoor spray. I spray it on if I’m going to be outside or working in my little garden and it helps me to enjoy the outdoors annoyance free. Bonus – it smells great!  I use Susan’s recipe.

2. Toilet Paper Roll
Before I put a new roll of toilet paper in the holder I like to put a drop or two of Purification on the cardboard interior of the roll. The smell is released every time a little paper is pulled off and it lasts the whole the life of the toilet paper roll.

3. Diffuser
I use my diffuser daily and a lot of the time I’m diffusing Purification. It’s perfect after I cook something that leaves a lasting smell. I don’t know about you, but I can’t stand that my house smelling like food. I put 3-4 drops in my diffuser and it doesn’t just mask the smell, it gets rid of it. Vanished.

4. Laundry
Have you ever left the laundry in the washer and forgot about it? Of course, I would never do that! Ha. Reality is it happens more often than I care to admit. My laundry is in the basement (ugh!) and if I don’t set a timer I forget about it. I just re-wash it and put a few drops of purification in the wash with it and it smells great! No lasting sour smell.

5. Air Freshening Spray
I love making different sprays. I have a Thieves spray and a Lavender pillow spray. I’m all about them sprays. ;)

This Purification Air Spray is a great one to leave in the restroom or to spray generously in gym bags, tennis shoes, or on anything that needs a little freshening up. It’s also great for dogs! I spray generously on Samson’s coat when he needs it and it works well.

How to make it:
In a 2 ounce spray bottle (glass is best for this): add 1 teaspoon Witch Hazel, Purification (I like 15-20 drops), and fill it up with distilled water.
